TOTO’s Clean Dry (Suction / High-speed Dual Sided Type) Hand Dryer Receives iF Design Award 2024

TOTO LTD. (Headquarters: Kitakyushu, Fukuoka Prefecture; President: Noriaki Kiyota) has received a design award for its product, Clean Dry (suction / high-speed dual sided type) hand dryer, as part of the prestigious international iF Design Award*1 2024.

The iF Design Award has continued to be a prestigious design award since 1953, and is sponsored by iF (International Forum Design) based in Hanover, Germany. One of TOTO’s products, Clean Dry (suction / high- speed dual sided type) was highly appraised in a strict screening carried out by a panel of judges made up of well-known design experts. This marks the eleventh consecutive year that TOTO has received the Award.

TOTO will continue to pursue the fusion of design and technology to introduce products worthy of the TOTO name to the world, thereby contributing to the realization of “a sustainable society” and “clean, comfortable, and healthy lifestyles.”

Features of the Award-Winning Product

Clean Dry (suction / high-speed dual sided type)

Clean Dry (suction / high-speed dual sided type) has a simple configuration with no openings on the sides, and a noiseless design with few exterior joints, for superior hygiene and ease of cleaning.

Thanks to its easy approachability due to its wide hand insertion port, the design makes it readily usable by all kinds of people, from children and the elderly to those with restricted mobility. Clean Dry (suction / high- speed dual sided type) employs a suction system that sucks in air and water droplets which prevents air from blowing back and suppresses droplet dispersal, and is designed to provide greater comfort and peace of mind during use. In addition, the sucked in air is purified through the HEPA filter”2 so that the hands can be dried with clean air.

The materials of items such as faucets, remote controllers, and toilet roll holders can be color-coordinated, with metallic colors that go well with white ceramic, enabling you to enjoy high-quality coordinations that accentuate the details of the space.

The compact shape allows for a high degree of freedom in installation position, and its easy fit allows for a smooth transition from hand washing to drying, creating a clean and comfortable hand washing space.
