THE CRASSO and NEOREST WX won the Red Dot Design Award 2023

TOTO LTD. (Headquarters: Kita-Kyushu-shi, Fukuoka Prefecture; President: Noriaki Kiyota) received awards for the modular kitchen THE CRASSO and NEOREST WX, smart toilets at the Red Dot Design Award*¹2023. Among the winning products, THE CRASSO won the “Best of the Best” award, the highest award generally given to fewer than 2% of entries in a given year.

The Red Dot Design Award is a prestigious international award that has continued since 1955. Organized by the Design Center North Rhine- Westphalia in Essen, Germany, the awards are granted to products after a rigorous review process conducted by design professionals, taking into account various criteria including innovativeness, functionality and quality. Among the three categories of Product Design, Brands & Communication and Design Concept, TOTO received awards for two products in the Product Design category.

This marks the eleventh consecutive year that TOTO has received the Award. It is also the third time TOTO has been awarded “Best of the Best,” after receiving the honor for the second time in 2021. TOTO will continue to pursue the fusion of design and technology to introduce products worthy of TOTO name to the world, thereby contributing to the realization of “a sustainable society” and “clean, comfortable, and healthy lifestyles.”

Product Features

THE CRASSO ^*2 (launched in August 2022)

The modular kitchen THE CRASSO was designed on the concept of “beautiful, easy to use, and clean,” combining exciting beauty, ease of use that lets you move efficiently, and the good feeling that comes from keeping things clean.

Countertop

The lineup consists of three types and 17 colors. The frosted glass-like “crystal countertop,” uniquely developed by TOTO, is wrapped in light and has a gentle shine. It doesn’t stain easily even if dirt is left for a long time, allowing you to keep the kitchen clean with simple maintenance.

Square slide sink

The sink’s floor, the net, and the drainage follow a slide- like slope so that water and vegetable peels flow smoothly. Dirt doesn’t build up and you can keep it clean at all times.

Faucet (front of right image)

The wide micro soft shower both keeps water from splashing and is good for cleaning, spraying water like a broom so that dirt comes off without hassle.

Touchless “EWATER+” generator (back of right image)

Put your hands by the sensors to release antimicrobial water like a mist. It’s touchless so the faucet doesn’t easily get dirty and stays clean with little effort.

NEOREST WX  (new launch in 2023)

NEOREST WX has a design that combines round shapes that give people a kind impression and square shapes that blend well with the architecture. It’s fully flat without any level difference between the seat and the main unit, seamlessly merging the lid and the porcelain. It creates a high-quality, abundant space.
